Aquatic Bioresource Research Lab (ABR Lab) was established in 2013 at the Department of Fisheries Biology and Genetics, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka-1207, Bangladesh.

The mission of ABR Lab is to carry out quality research in the field of Aquatic Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics to contribute to the conservation of biological diversity in marine and freshwater ecosystems in the context of climate change, anthropogenic environmental stress and food security.

The lab studies on biodiversity of Marine and Freshwater Organisms including Fish, Mollusks, Crustaceans, Cnidarians and zooplankton through Morpho-molecular approach. ABR Lab is well-equipped for study of DNA Taxonomy, Population Genetics, Phylogenetics, Molecular Ecology and Evolution with state-of-the-art facilities and dedicated researchers.
